I’ve been here for about 2 hours now. Had to move rooms due to the fact when I walked in the first one it smelled HORRIBLE. While in my first room within the first 5 min I seen 3 roaches and a tick. I went down and complained and they moved my room. I come in and it doesn’t smell AS bad as the last one and still I spot roaches. It’s bad enough to the point I have to take plastic bags and take my stuff out of my personal bag just so I don’t get roaches,spiders, or ticks in my stuff. Shower was filthy carpet is dirty and I don’t feel like the bed spread has been changed so since it’s free for me to stay here bc my Work is paying for it I’ll be sleeping in my truck.
What a horrible dump! I gave it a one star because zero was not an option. We were in Birmingham for a 2 day sporting event. I'm a Choice Priveleges member and felt comfortable booking a room there. We mentioned 3 problems to the front after our first night. A lack of ability to adjust the room temp left us sleeping poorly. The tub drained at a snails pace, leaving us with upper ankle deep water as we dried off. And the hair dryer didn't work. None were taken care of by the time we returned to the room for our second night. Worst night ever spent in Birmingham, and we stay there often.
This hotel was okay for one night. Me and my niece came down for one night to see our grandma in UAB Hospital. To the both of us the hotel was a bit dated. And the breakfast was horrible, nothing was fitting to eat. We didn’t pack like we should have, giving we had to rush to Birmingham from Pensacola because our grandma was experiencing liver failure. The hotel didn’t have any tooth brushes. Also make sure to bring your own soap. Did like the fact that the hotel gave us a discount for having family in the hospital.
Disgusting. Filthy. The floor wasnt swept cigarette ashes all over. Burn holes in the old comforters. Got a new room and was just as dirty, would have left if it hadnt been 7am and checkout was at 11am. Friends with us had dirty sheets still on the bed. They do NOT clean the rooms. Maid and some guy walked in and turned on lights while our son was sleeping and I had to scream at him to get him to leave. Not worth $100 bucks for 4 hours of not sleeping. I couldn't even let my son walk on the floor.
It was cheap and the clerk was very nice! However, the rooms were very small (two double beds) the bathroom was even smaller.. The bedcovers were VERY dirty and the AC unit didn't work! It was very hot when we walked in and the unit couldn't cool the room down even with it being 60 outside. At one point the unit shut itself off completely and didn't come back on for 2 hours. But, I got what I paid for..
